I'm want to start my own online business and have been doing some research on common issues that online business owners face so that I can see how to best handle them. I was wondering if you guys could share what are some of the issues that you think are big problems for eCommerce websites. Thanks

I have the sole distribution rights to a specific brand of security products in my country, and am looking to wholesale them.

The biggest problem all online retailers face is fraud. With card not present transactions, banks are likely to side with the client when they dispute the charges on their credit card.
However as you are looking to wholesale your products, my recommendation is either to accept cash on delivery for clients that you can deliver to yourself, and have an escrow bank account for clients that you will have to actually ship the goods too. Also be sure that when you ship your goods you have signed for delivery only, as once the product is signed for, you can then present it to the bank in the case of the dispute.

Unless you are looking to also do retail sales, I do not recommend using credit cards, or 3rd party systems like Paypal as payment options, as it is easier for clients to dispute.

Thanks for your advice, i like the idea of using an escrow account, but i am not sure about how to set it up. Any advice?
