Protect my assets for my kids

Hi, I have been a single parent for some time now, but i have met someone and want to re-marry. However i want to be sure that if this marrige falls apart, or something happens to me, there will still be something left for my kids. Can youy please advise what i can do abput putting some of my wealth and assets aside for my children.
